"When my husband and I decided to plan an outdoor wedding reception, we knew that we’d need extra help in the planning department. With a traditional hall, the bride and groom usually have at least a day to prepare decorations for the reception, but when you’re using a tent – all preparation needs to be taken care of the day of the wedding. There was no way I’d have enough time to take care of decorating the morning of my wedding, so I got in touch with April from Your Perfect Day and found solace in her help with day of planning and the whole wedding process in general. Right from the get go, April was full of ideas and knew every vendor in town. Though I had a few vendors in mind like the caterer and band, we still needed help finding a photographer and florist. April gave us plenty of suggestions and even took care of all the flowers on her end. When I needed help with a task or had a question, April was always quick to reply and really made me feel comfortable with the planning process from day one. A week before the wedding, I dropped off my decorations and she took care of toting everything to the reception site and getting the décor setup as I requested. The day of the wedding was incredibly smooth and so enjoyable because I didn’t have to stress about any details with April and her team on board. She was with me every step of the way and took care of all the activities throughout the day. If there were any problems, I didn’t know it. April and her team even rearranged our dance floor on the Friday before the reception because there was a mis communication with that vendor. She really had everything under control. Finally, at the end of the night the Your Perfect Day team took care of the tear down and then delivered the décor that belonged to me the next day. Everything went so smoothly and April is so easy to work with. I’ve already recommended her to plenty of friends and will continue to do so. My mom and I really wanted to do most of the planning and decorating ourselves but when we got down to all the details and how we were going to handle it all the day of we realized we couldn't do it all ourselves. That's where April came in. She did everything we asked and then some. My husband who didn't really think we needed a wedding planner/ coordinator kept saying all night, that she was the best idea ever. "Our wedding was July 25th, 2015. Your Perfect Day is absolutely amazing! April is so sweet, nice, and super easy to work with. Before my mom and I met with her, we were both nervous into how everything would get taken care of the day of the wedding. But after meeting with April, all of that stress disappeared! We are so glad we hired Your Perfect Day and they made wedding planning easy! There were times when my mom and I were worried about our florist, because our florist would tell us they would contact us in 2-3 weeks with information, but wouldn't hear from them for 2-3 months. When we would meet with April to update her how the wedding planning was going, expressed our worry to her and she told us not to worry, she'll take care of it. We had other little worries, but April had answers for everything. She assigned Anne and Ashley to our wedding, and they were wonderful!! They took care of everything and I have no idea if anything even went wrong on my wedding day. If it did, they took care of it! We also used them for our decorations which were beautiful! She kept the process stress free and gave great advice when I had a million questions! I had no stress the day of the my wedding because I trusted her and she took care of everything. She even fixed one of my bridesmaid dresses at the last minute!!
She has a great eye for detail and took care of some other difficult vendors. She is extremely professional and treats you like she is planning her own wedding! "I originally contacted April in winter 2013 for a wedding back in my hometown of Indiana. She was completely open to whatever my fiancé (now husband) and I wanted and when we decided to go with a far-away destination wedding instead - she was 100% on board!
We looked at all kinds of venues online and eventually settled on a hotel in Naples, FL for personal reasons. April personally visited hotels down there to choose the right spot for us and even met with their wedding planner. We didn't even see the hotel in person until we arrived in Naples, and April picked out exactly what we were envisioning and we couldn't be happier. The hotel met all of our needs and April even traveled down for the wedding day and coordinated our entire wedding.
My mom had passed away a couple years prior and I didn't have any bridesmaids for the wedding because of the distance, so April kind of played "Maid and Matron of Honor" for my wedding to get me ready and I couldn't have been more thankful! I would have been lost without her! Our wedding was perfect, the venue was perfect for the wedding and reception, and I couldn't be happier with her services. She also recommended us to the photographers we chose after giving her an idea of what kind of pictures we wanted for our wedding (who ended up being fabulous as well!). " I was consistently impressed with April's professionalism and attention to detail during the coordination of our wedding day. It was such a relief to know I had her working on the details behind the scenes. Having the "day-of coordination" package, I didn't really know what to expect. I had assumed that I would arrange everything and just tell April what I wanted, and she would make it happen on the day of our wedding – but she did so much more than that!
April has solid, long-standing relationships with (what seems like) every single vendor in the Toledo area, so she personally knew all of my vendors, which was really nice feeling like I had a "team" working for me that day. She worked out so many details with my vendors in advance, so she knew the schedule of the day and I didn't have to think about it. I firmly believe the only reason my wedding stayed completely on schedule was because of April. She coordinated all our moments with the photographer, DJ and caterer – from our "first look" to our first dance to the late-night snack. April told my husband and I where to go and what to do ("we're going to cut the cake" and "here's your bouquet to toss"), so in between these moments, I was able to mingle and talk with our guests without concerning myself with the flow of the event or feeling like I was "supposed" to be doing something. I'm sure April took care of plenty of things I don't even know needed tending to – that's how professional and organized she is! Plus, April's just fun to be around – she's smart with a sense of humor, which made working with her a joy. I cannot recommend April highly enough!"
"Our Big Day Where do I start!?!? These ladies were outstanding!!! My husband and I had no idea what we were doing and being that I was the first daughter in our family to get married it was a new experience for EVERYONE. They were all Very helpful, had different options/ideas, and made everything work within or around our price range which was HUGE for us! "Made our day & worth every cent! We hired April and Your Perfect Day for our October 4, 2013 wedding. She is kind, professional, and top notch at what she does. She helped us plan our day(and handled our flowers!) in only 12 weeks and without her help I would have scrapped the whole thing! She listened to all of our questions, ideas, and concerns and helped us stick to our less than average budget. She found us vendors and venues that fit our budget without sacrificing the quality we were looking for. The most important thing in all she did for us that day was that she took away all the stress. I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep during my hair appointment that morning because I knew April and her team had everything under control. April also comes prepared for any situation, she actually saved my dress after there was a sizing issue(too big!).
